Some very sad news. Ribin, one of my Robin friends, has been missing for the past week. Last time I saw him he looked like he had been in a fight, with a wound on his face and a minor leg injury, however he has had far worse injuries and recovered. He has also gone missing for up to a month in the past, so I haven't completely given up hope yet. His girlfriend Rosy is still around, as is his son Little Mate. I'll still visit his territory every day and bring food, just in case he returns.

My friend Ribin seems to have got himself into a fight (probably with another Robin). Yesterday evening he was only standing on one leg and wouldn't come down to see me. This morning his leg is better, but he seems to have a small wound near the base of his beak. Otherwise, he was fine, and taking lots of food to his mate Rosy. He will probably be OK - he has survived far worse injuries.

The other bit of good news is that Ribin and Rosy are now bringing lots of small food items to their nest - chicks have hatched! Now, not all nests are successful but they have chosen a good spot, so hopefully some chicks will make it. In .

My friend Little Mate has hurt his leg. It's not broken and he can still use it when he needs to, but holds it close to his body when at rest. This happens a lot to Robins, who often get into fights, and usually heals with a week or two. He is still feeding his mate Squeaky, but it appears that their first nesting attempt has failed. Again, this is normal, and they will likely try again soon.

I've just taken on an allotment plot that falls within the territory of my Robin friend Ribin. The plot had been disused for a few years and his son, Little Mate, was raised on spiders and insects that we found on it. Ribin is rather happy that I will be digging up even more food for him this year!

My little friend singing in his favourite Cherry tree after his morning snack on another cold morning in . This tree used to belong to his neighbour, who disappeared a few months ago. Since my Robin claimed it, it has become his favourite singing perch.
